Sewing Class update

This week I completed the 4th of 5 classes in my children's beginner sewing class series I am teaching at the local Hancock Fabrics. It was so rewarding. After so many classes full of cutting out paper patterns, fabric, etc. it was great to FINISH something! Both girls finished their capri pants. Both mom's seemed pleased with the results. Both girls seemed to actually want to wear their pants after it was all said and done so I would have to say it was a success! Our final class will be sewing the blouse. We won't get to the jacket unless I offer extended class time, or additional classes. I did not plan a jacket, however the girls wanted to do it so they purchased the fabric with their other supplies.
Teaching these classes have revealed to me so much about myself. It has been a huge learning experience for me. I have had many requests to teach adult classes, and names/waiting lists gathering for me if I decide to do so. I am still weighing all of my options and will be deciding shortly as to whether or not I wish to do it.
All in all the experience was good and I am glad that at least I have done it just this once.
