homestead on the train ride Posted by Picasa
here's a veiw of the mountainside. Mind you the train had no sides on the cars or benches. Had someone wanted to jump off, nothing would have stopped them. Posted by Picasa

Parrot Mountain

We got up early and came here while the boys were alert and able to take in more of the experience. This place is awesome and I highly recommend it for anybody visiting the Pigeon Forge, TN area. Bird lover or not, outdoors person or not, It was gorgeous. The entire place is landscaped like gardens with benches for resting, fountains and plenty of plants. Every few steps there are plackards with scriptures. It was wonderful to go to a Christian attraction where Christianity was a focal point. We spent a few hours here taking it all in.

I thought these white cockatiels were so pretty. Every one of them had a "I bite, don't feed me" sign though. Evidently they are not too nice. Posted by Picasa
Rocky eased close to this bird, but he didn't want any company. The closer Rocky got, the more uncomfortable we all became. Eventually Rocky ended the stand off. Posted by Picasa
Mardie really liked being this close. He loves animals. Charmie on the other hand was having a hard time. He spent most of this time hovering around Rok's or my legs. He started to warm up to the experience by the time we had bene there a while. Posted by Picasa

These two kept vying for Rocky's treats. He had to make sure to take turns as they were starting to become more and more aggressive about getting him to feed them. Posted by Picasa

this little one kept jumping off the perch and this area was so full of traffic, he ran the risk of being stepped on. A kind visitor scooped him up and I offered him some treat. Posted by Picasa
