Z's BSJ yarn

I finished spinning up the yarn for Zuri's Baby Suprise Jacket. It is 8oz. in 70% Merino 30% Seacell from Creatively Dying Yarns. Yummy soft goodness. Charlotte Purls, my knitting group is having a fall KAL to knit Elizabeth Zimmerman's Baby Suprise Jacket. Janet and I decided to spin the yarn for our jackets to make them truely OOAK. Here's my yarn, so as soon as I can make a swatch and cast on I'll be well on my way. I'm getting really excited!

On the niddynoddy after plying, too many wraps to count. . . maybe when I wind it into a ball I can borrow Janet's yardage measurement tool to determine how much yardage I have here. . .

Ripley's Aquarium Gatlinburg

Whenever we go to Gatlinburg we love to visit this Aquarium. It is the nicest Aquarium we have been to thus far. It has some incredible displays and specimins. Zuri even really enjoyed herself. Here are some shots of our visit.

Happy 4th Birthday Mardie!!

We were on vacay in Gatlinburg this year for Mardie's birthday. We had met this kind family of Grandparents and twin 3yo grandchildren there. We invited them to Mardie's little party at the Water Park at Westgate. Here's his tiny Spiderman Cake. After cake and icecream and sparkling Grape Juice the kids played in the Arcade while the adults talked. Later in the day we went to WonderWorks or as Mardie liked to call it the Upside Down Broken Museum.
