Our puppy Diego

We'd like to introduce you to Diego, our new puppy. He's a Lab mix. He's only 6 mos. old. He is very sweet, and very timid. But when he does bark it's nice, deep and tonal. Rocky brought him home tonight from SC. He seemed overwhelmed with being away from all that he's ever know, his momma and his sis. He warmed up to me though. I was able to coax him onto the deck for these quick pics and to taste his kibble we put out for him.
Charmie and Mardie seem enamored with him. Mardie just wants to pet him over and over. Charmie cannot stop talking about him. Both are very excited to have him and have expressed desire to have a dog for some time. Charmie immediately asked could we get a cat like "Maggie" Rocky's parent's cat. We answered him with a prompt and emphatic "NO!"
I started Charmie out with the responsibility to take Diego his food tonight. I want to teach the boy's responsibility, Diego is afterall their dog.
Finally we want to give special thanks to our SC pastor and especially his son John for allowing us to adopt Diego. John's 7th birthday was today and Diego was one of his dear pets. John has cared for and loved Diego all of his life and it was hard for him to let him go, but he did and we are grateful to him!
