Here's a bag I made for my mom. It's made of recycled/repurposed plastic shopping bags. I cut them into strips (my mom cut some too) and then I crocheted them into this. No pattern, no recipe, just did it till I liked it. I hope she likes it. It measures 14.5" wide and 14" tall.

wow, how creative! Does it hold real well? thats a cool idea!
It won't hold little things because it is not lined. It will hold larger things fine though, like a tote. It's pretty sturdy due to the fact that each strand of plastic bag is actually folded into itself a few times if that makes any sense.
Bet mom loves it! :)
