OK, on the last post first I thought I had all of the pics, and second I misspoke on when I told him about crooked pics. Here's his 5th shot and I hadn't told him yet, lol. It's of his beloved Beetle.
6th shot, of grass growing in our groundcover.
Here's one I took of Charmie with his camera, and with his permission.
Final shot before back to playing in the pool. A nearly straight shot of the 4wheeler!
As Charmie takes more pics I'll be sure to post.

Happy 4th Birthday Charmie
Charmie received a digital camera/video camera for one of his birthday gifts. He's been begging to use my camera to take pictures. Sometimes I let him. I figured it was time he got his own. Here are his first photos.
Daddy relaxing in the front yard watching the boys play.Charmie's new birthday Pirate splash Pool. (another birthday gift)
Mardie holding Charmie's new compass, another gift for exploring that came with binoculars and a little telescope.
Daddy chillin with Mardie in his lap. Yes I have Rok's permission to publish this photo. It was at this point that I took the time to show Charmie the difference between crooked pictures and straight ones. I tried to help him see the difference on the view finder. His next picture was much straighter.

Camera & Accessory case
Don't get me wrong. I love my old camera, it has been pretty faithful until we had a mishap on our summer vacation where the memory card lost it's formatting and all of the pictures. . . and wouldn't take any new ones. My biggest drive to upgrade from that camera was that my night time and moving subject shots were blurry and no matter what I did I couldn't get a clear shot.
When you are a mom of 2 boys under 4 you NEED a camera that can capture moving and dark shots or you miss memories.
Once I got the camera home I could see that the zoom lens was just too deep for my old case so I needed to get a larger one.
I thought for 1/2 a second about buying another one of those ugly black nylon cases but after that 1/2 second passed I realized I would much rather sew a pretty case for my new toy.
This fabric is really "me" (as if you couldn't tell from the fact that it coordinates with my blog theme and logo). Though it was really challenging I enjoyed making this case and am already brainstorming a case for my old camera to replace it's ugly black nylon one. . .
Bag interior
Here's an inside shot. The interior is quilted with high loft batting for padding. The fabric is sage green fleece for extra padding and to prevent scratches. The top pocket has a Velcro closure and holds several memory cards and a lens cleaner. The pocket in the back has a 5/8" gusset and if you look closely you can see that it holds the battery charger, and when I get one, an extra battery. I'd like to have some extra juice and memory available if I get snap happy!
Here's the camera inside the bag. The strap is covering up the back pocket but I think you get the idea. I may make some additional pouches that hold the usb and av cables to go beside the lens but for right now I don't think I want to carry those around all of the time so for now it's just the camera, battery and memory cards.
